Monroe Tech is committed to keeping our Hilton & Rochester environment clean from electronic waste, or E-Waste. Last year alone, Monroe Tech responsibly recycled over 50,000 pounds of E-Waste including desktops, laptops, CRT monitors, VCRs, game consoles keyboards & mice, printers, ink & toner, scanners and servers.
Monroe Tech has recently partnered with a local Rochester recycler that is R2/RIOS/NAID certified and is committed in the efforts of responsible recycling. Monroe Tech itself is also registered with the Department of Environmental Conservation as a certified drop-off site for recyclable electronics.
If you have items you wish to recycle with Monroe Tech, you may drop them off at the retail shop, located at 80 South Ave, Hilton, at anytime during normal business hours. There is no charge to you. If you have a large quantity of items to recycle, please call ahead so we may assist you.
Acceptable items include: Computers, CRT and LCD Monitors, Terminals, Printers, Mainframe / Midrange Servers, Banking Equiptment, Network Equiptment, Circuit Boards, Wiring and Cabling, Scientific Equiptment, Business Machines, Electonic Scrap, Copiers, Typewriters, Fax Machines, PDAs, Cell Phones, Batteries, Flourescent Lamps, and UPS Units.

- Each week Monroe Tech collects 1-2 bins of E-Waste for responsible, environmentally friendly recycling. Each year Monroe Tech collects enough E-Waste to stretch across the entire Village of Hilton!
