Returns:
Unopened items may be returned within 7 days for a full refund with the original receipt. Store credit will be issued for unopened items returned within the 7-day period without receipt. Opened items are subject to a 20% restocking fee and may be refused due to condition of the product. Opened and/or installed software is non-refundable. Special order parts must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.
Customer Data Policy:
By leaving a computer system or other digital device with Monroe Tech staff and authorized sub-contractors the customer gives implied consent to all data private or otherwise stored on the computer or accessable network locations. Monroe Tech staff are required to treat all customer’s personal information stored on computer hard drives, CDs, DVDs, memory sticks, or any other digital device as confidential and are prohibited from viewing, copying, discussing or distributing such data except as needed to protect data from deletion or damage, or to repair or test a device capable of storing such data. Monroe Tech will act with due diligence to protect the confidentiality of any data left in its possession, but will accept no liability for the loss or theft of such data.
Indemnity Agreement:
Please be advised that while nothing will be done by our techs to purposely cause loss of data and files from your computer, mechanical failure of computer components can happen with out warning, and virus infections can cause unpredictable problems.
If you have important information on your computer such as family pictures or financial records, and wish to minimize your risk of data loss, please inquire about our back up services which can be performed before intensive diagnostic tests or virus scans are performed.
Operating System Reinstallation:
Operating System Reinstallation requires that the computer hard drive be formatted and erased before reinstalling the Operating System software (Windows XP/Vista/7 or Mac OSX). An Operating System reload also requires that you reinstall any printer software, and additional computer programs you may have installed since the original purchase of the computer. We cannot reinstall applications without your source CDRom discs (Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.) unless they are freely available for download from the Internet (like iTunes, Skype or AIM). Your technician will discuss this with you if you need a reload.
Abandoned Computers:
Computer that have been diagnosed or otherwise worked on and not picked up for a period of 30 days are considered abandoned and may be recycled at our discretion. We will always make attempts to contact the owner before doing so. It is the customer’s
responsibility to verify that we have the correct contact information on file.
Warranties:
Computers:
Custom computers made by Monroe Tech come with a 1-year in-store parts and labor warranty through Monroe Tech. Brand name computers are covered by their respective manufacturer only.
Hardware:
Hardware repairs and parts installed by Monroe Tech are covered by a 90-day hardware warranty. Hardware sold over the counter and/or installed by the customer is warrantied for 30 days. We cannot warranty memory, hard drives, motherboards or processors unless installed by Monroe Tech. We are not responsible for compatibility issues of parts on self-installs.
Software:
Software is not covered under warranty. Software labor is covered under a 48-hour customer satisfaction guarantee. Any issues must be brought to our attention within the specified time frame.
Virus Removals:
Standard virus removals come with a 1-week re-infection guarantee. Any issues must be brought to our attention within the specified time frame.
Refurbished & Final Sale Items:
Any refurbished or final sale items are sold “as-is”, and are not warrantied or returnable.
Support:
Monroe Tech is available for support on any item sold through the retails shop at an additional charge.
Payment terms:
Payment must be received at time of service uness otherwise specified.
